Traveling to an away match with the bare minimum of players is never ideal, fair play to Ciarán Leahy and Pádi Kearney for making it down to Kinsale to play with us. A new pitch with all of its bumps and bobbles to contend with, didn't deter our lads in taking the game to our hosts early on. With some very strong play from our half backs and midfield we just did not seem to fire on all cylinders in front of goal, although we strolled into a lead it took time for our forwards to find their range, but boy when they did it was phenomenal. Half forwards Shane Cullimore, Glen O Sullivan and Jordan Griffen made all of the play, creating the perfect opportunities for our forward line of Niall Spriggs and Adam O Donovan to comfortably extend our lead. Final score of 5-21 to Kinsale 0-05 with a couple of our full backs chipping in with scores to put the icing on the cake.

 Our last league game before the exam break. A home encounter with Lisgoold, A totally different game to last week we found ourselves a goal and a point down after five minutes, our lads in all fairness soaked up a lot of pressure in the next 15 minutes facing into a strong wind and the setting sun, each one of our lads started to win each of their individual battles to put our own stamp on the game. Our backs,Dave O Connor, Cillian Histon, Pádi Kearney Ciarán Leahy and Jeffery Mc Carthy, ably marshaled by captain Mark Hayes, to a man defended very well to generate the momentum needed to overturn our early deficit and come out on top at half time, 1-08 to Lisgoolds 1-06. With three subs available to us, the changes made at half time had no reflection on the performance of the lads we took off. The second half started much the same as the first finished, all play dictated by Darragh Kelleher who knocked over some fantastic scores, coupled with the strong running lines of our half forwards we had a phase of ten or so minutes  where we scored 1-08 unanswered with 1-01 coming in the last minute of the first half. This just knocked the wind out of our visitors sails. Keith Donnachie, William Ireland and Liam O Keeffe all played their part in the second half in what turned out to be a comprehensive win, 2-19 to 2-09, for what is turning out be a fine team of young men who play a special brand of hurling which seems to be improving week on week.
